First post!
I saw The Red Chord open for Between The Buried and Me a few weeks ago, and got all the members of both bands to sign their albums. I was pretty amped since I like both bands a lot.

Todd Bell is AMAZING. seriously. you don't even know.
I mean... Ho-Lee SHIT.
we always try to look out for vinyl the other one might be into, and one day he emailed me asking about stuff I was looking for and I said "how about something cool and braid related that I might not have?? there must be something you have."
So today I get the mail and there's a package from him with

Two Braid promo pics, two hey mercedes stickers, two Grand Theft Autumn Stickers

Silkscreened poster from the Braid Reunion Tour

The only Braid stamp ever... THE one that the original records were all stamped with (He told me he had it made 13 or 14 years ago!)

AND the ACTUAL photo of them playing Uno at a Denny's used on the cover of Frame and Canvas.

HOLY SHIT!!!! I haven't been this excited in a YEAR. This is INCREDIBLE!

Fugazi
I started writing to fugazi just before I turned 17. I figured, who better to write to than my favorite band. I was getting discouraged about my then 3 year in relationship with the bass guitar and a postcard from Joe Lally changed everything.
I kept writing to them (if you read all these, you can tell that sometimes I wrote just totally ridiculous stuff (favorite wrestler, Motley Crue, etc) and that I was always asking them to come play CA.
Anyway, this is a big tribute to what has been my favorite band for the past 15 years, nearly half of my life. These go in sequence, and I scanned the backs and fronts.

I woulda brought my camera if I'd have known they were allowed!
Anyway, no, no one went with me, but lucky for me, my friend Daye also won tickets, so we sat together, and after the first song, Matthew Caws said, these empty seats up front sure look lonely!! We'd really love it if you could all come down and fill these up! so we ran down and sat in the third row.
They played a whole hour.

After he signed my record everytime I walked by him he kept saying "Hey David!"
sooo rad.
I'm a geek. whatever.

queers set list.

what's odd is that they didn't play the songs in the order on the list. and they didn't play "hi mom it's me" at all.
